Invited to an interview?

Here is what the interview is, what happens to it, and how to talk to a person instead.

What it is

The company you applied to uses First Round so that every applicant gets a first interview, not only the people whose CV stood out. You talk with an AI interviewer for about 15 minutes. It is not a person, and it tells you so at the start.

It asks every applicant for the job the same core questions, plus follow-ups on what you say. You can answer in Danish or English.

What you need

  • A recent version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Brave. Other browsers may work, but have not been tested yet. If yours gives you trouble, switch to one of these, or ask for a person instead.
  • A camera and a microphone, and permission for the page to use them.
  • About 15 minutes somewhere fairly quiet.
  • Your CV, if you like. It is optional, and only a short summary of it is kept.

What happens afterwards

Your interview is recorded and a transcript is made. The company gets the recording, the transcript and a written note on each skill the job needs, based only on what you said. Nothing judges your face, your voice or your feelings.

A person at the company reviews your interview and makes the decision. The AI never decides. You can read your own transcript on the same page once the interview is done.

Talking to a person instead

You never have to talk to the AI. On the invitation page, and during the interview, there is a button that says I would rather speak with a person. Press it and the company is told that you would like a person to contact you.

You can also ask to see, correct or delete what was recorded about you. Read Privacy and data for how.
